March 3rd, 2025 -- Maude Michaud's pitch for her upcoming project Mannekill is one of two projects to receive a Special Mention from the jury Pitch It Till You Make It jury! The event was part of the Wench Film Festival in Mumbai, India and the jury was composed of development executives.
January 20th, 2025 -- Mannekill, a creature feature/slasher written by Maude Michaud (currently in development), is one of 12 projects selected for the Pitch It Till You Make It event at the Wench Film Festival in Mumbai, India. During the event, Michaud will be pitching the project to a panel of development executives. Her short film, The Monster Inside My Head, is also having its Asian premiere at the festival on February 28th.
November 6th, 2024 -- The Monster Inside My Head has been selected to be part of Cauchemort québécois, a touring program of short films which will be presented in several locations in Québec. The tour is an initiative of the Requiem FearFest and is co-presented by the Fantasia International Film Festival. Here are the dates for the first leg of the tour:

In addition to this tour, The Monster Inside My Head has also been selected for the winter editing of the BUT Film Festival in the Netherlands. The film will screen on January 4th, 2025, as part of the Shivering Shorts program.
October 1st, 2024 -- Graduate student and BUFF programmer Chris Hallock will be hosting a special screening of the 2024 Etheria Film Festival selection at Concordia University. Maude Michaud has been invited as a guest speaker to talk about her work as a woman horror filmmaker as well as her past graduate work and prior involvement with an earlier incarnation of the Etheria Film Festival. There will also be a special presentation of her short film The Monster Inside My Head.
The event takes place on October 25th, 2024 at 7PM at the J.A. De Seve Cinema. Admission is free.
October 7th, 2024 -- Requiem for a Sad Girl, an arthouse psychological thriller written by Maude Michaud, is one of 17 projects to receive production funding through Telefilm's Talent to Watch program. Logline: A brilliant young art director who suffers from complex PTSD from past relationship abuse is forced to journey through the darkness of her inner psyche when her trauma unexpectedly takes on a human form.
Pre-production will begin in January 2025. Michaud will be directing and co-producing along with producer Jen Viens. This will be Michaud's second feature film.

September 27th, 2024 -- Production just wrapped on Maude Michaud's latest short film tentatively titled The Burning Touch of a Cold Blade. The short film , which stars Laurie Babin, Joan Hart and Laurent Pitre, is a proof of concept for Michaud's Wild Side feature film. In addition to writing and directing, Michaud also co-produced along with Marc Lapointe and Benoit Beaulieu. Release is slated for late-2025.
July 3rd, 2024 -- Maude Michaud will be participating in the panel/round table discussion Her Horror Legacy: A discussion on Women Directing Horror Movies during the Fantasia International Film Festival. The panel, moderated by Heidi Honeycutt, will explore the participants' stories and evolution within the genre in order to shed light on the vital role women filmmakers play in shaping the lanscape of horror cinema and its culture. Honeycutt will also be launching her book, I Spit on Your Celluloid, which also mentions Michaud's work, during the event.
December 31st, 2023 -- As its first year on the festival circuit comes to an end, here's a recap of all the festivals and events where The Monster Inside My Head screened:

...and we're also delighted to announce that the film will finally have it's European Premiere in February 2024 s part of the Berlin Film Girl Film Festival!
November 3rd, 2023 -- Disco Witches, an original TV series project created by Maude Michaud and currently in development, is one of 12 projects selected for the Blood in the Snow Film Festival's Horror Development Lab. The event will take place in November 2023 in Toronto.
Michaud's short film, The Monster Inside My Head, is also part of the festival's official selection and will be playing as part of the Dark Visions short films program on the festival's opening night, November 20th, 2023. This will be the short film's Ontario Premiere and Maude Michaud will be in attendance.
October 19th, 2023 -- After a successful screening on September 23rd at the Requiem FearFest convention in Montreal The Monster Inside My Head won the award for Best Local Film!
October 5th, 2023 -- The Monsters Inside My Head will be having its BC premiere at the Vancouver BadAss Film Festival where it is also nominated for two awards:

Best Screenplay
The short opens the festival and will screen before Larry Fessenden's Blackout on October 15th at the Rio Theatre. Maude Michaud will be in attendance.
August 7th, 2023 -- After a successful and sold out World Premiere of her short film The Monster Inside My Head during the Fantastiques Weekends of the Fantasia International Film Festival, Maude Michaud was delighted to win a special jury mention for the ARRQ Award for Best Directing. The award comes with a membership to the ARRQ (Association des réalisateurs et réalisatrices du Québec), a professional association of Quebec directors.
July 6th, 2023 -- ...and we're back! After many years of forced hiatus, Maude Michaud is finally back behind the camera with her latest short film, The Monster Inside My Head. More than three years in the making (in the midst of a global pandemic and multiple personal tragedies), the film is not only finished, but we have a premiere date!
We're delighted to announce that the short film will have its World Premiere on July 22nd at the Fantasia International Film Festival! Maude Michaud will be in attendance, along with cast and crew. See you there!
